As parents of gifted young adults, we know the challenges and joys of this journey.
As professionals, we bring to the table decades of experience working with, advocating for, teaching, writing, and consulting in the gifted field, and are highly trained to deal with the associated complexities of giftedness.
As parents, you deserve to understand yourself and your family, to learn new approaches, and to make intentional choices.
For Registration and More Information:
Registering now will save your spot as numbers will be limited to ensure interpersonal connection. If registration is closed, please email either of us to let us know if you would like to be on the waiting list for a later workshop series, or if space opens up here.
What you can expect:
Weekly prompt questions or worksheets sent via email prior to each week’s workshop for self-reflection and discussion to be brought to each meeting
A zoom room filled with attentive, respectful, engaged parents, eager to learn from one another, who have carved out a private, quiet, and focused presence
Unique to this group:
An intentional focus on your expectations and priorities, and what motivates or stalls your efforts.
A rare opportunity to be in the same ‘room’ and receive support from two Ph.D. licensed clinical professionals - both skilled group facilitators - along with curious and engaged peers who are also in “the trenches,” and want to connect.
Designed to provide an interactive, educational, and supportive place for discussing and exploring parenting concerns and dilemmas (although not a psychotherapy group).
Concepts will be based on Gail’s new book, The Gifted Parenting Journey, which addresses the essential importance of self-awareness and finding a supportive community. (While this book will deepen your experience, it is not required reading for participation in the workshop. Should you wish to purchase a copy, a discount code will be available after registration.)
